All over this nation there are people taking care of business and making a positive impact on our world at the same time. We call these people our changemakers. They do good like its their job.
SHOP THE COLLECTION: MEN'S || WOMEN'S When Veronika Scott was a 21-year old student at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, she invented a coat based on the real needs of homeless people on the street after meeting with and listening to actual homeless people. What followed is truly one of the most inspiring projects that PACT has ever encountered. The Empowerment Plan started as a humanitarian project based on a simple coat. The coat is self-heated, waterproof, and transforms into a sleeping bag at night. The real innovation is that it's made by a group of homeless women who will be paid to create these coats for those living on the streets. The focus is on a system to create jobs for those that desire them and coats for those that need them at no cost; to empower, employ, educate, and instill pride within Detroit communities.
